With the Roku set to 1080p (the highest resolution I can get to display/work), all Onkyo output modes are ignored (and just continue to display Roku 1080p) with the exception of 4K and Auto. In the receiver's setup menu/monitor output, you can set the output to 480p, 720p, 1680x720p, 1080i, 1080p, 2560x1080p, 4K, Through and Auto. (If you want to follow along, I'm working from the Onkyo TX-NR636 Advanced Manual, which documents how to set the output resolution on the receiver.) There seems to be an issue with 4K/HDCP2.2 on the TX-NR636. I would also disable the 4K upconversion function, as most 4K TVs will do a better job of it.
Looking at the Onkyo manual, only HDMI ports 1-3 are HDCP 2.2. What display setting are you setting in the main Roku menu, 4K or 4K 10 bit? What happens if you bypass the Onkyo and plug directly into the TV? It does not do HDR though, so don't go looking for that. The Roku 4 does not have a secret menu to change 4:2:2 to 4:2 0, because it has 4K and 4K 10 bit selection in the main display menu. Will my Roku 4 not do the 4K video that led to believe it would?

I'm running software 7.5.0 build 4111-17 and don't have access to the secret screen to crank back to 10-bit color mode. I've got all the right cables, and I am using the HDCP 2.2 ports. I'm having the problem of failing the handshake when trying to engage 4K and bouncing me back to 1080.
